Obverse	The personification of the city of Vienna (Vindobona) sits frontally on a throne under a Gothic canopy, her head with mural crown to the left. Her right arm rests on the coat of arms of Vienna, with her left hand she points to the floor plan of the town hall, which the architect Friedrich Schmidt, in medieval dress, is showing her. Behind her on the left is the personification of Politics with a fasces and palm branch and the personification of Arts and Crafts with a spindle, compass and square, knight's helmet and Hermes' staff. The signature A ∙ SCHARFF ∙ on the step. Pearl circle.
Reverse	View of the town hall in Vienna, two angels flying above, the one on the left, head to the right, holding the coat of arms of Austria, the one on the right, head frontally, holding the coat of arms of Vienna. At the bottom an umbrella ribbon with the inscription DIE STADT WIEN ZUR FEIER DER / VOLLEDNUNG IHRES RATHAUSES -/ XII ∙ SEPTEMB -/ MDCCCLXXXIII.
